FAQ
Why are the AI synthesis tools paid-only?
They're the expensive ones — each call runs hybrid retrieval, a frontier-quality LLM, and multiple post-validation steps. Per-call cost is meaningful; we need paid tiers to support them sustainably. Retrieval + lookup tools are cheap and stay on free.
Can I use the free tier for development and upgrade later?
Yes — the free tier is intended for evaluation. When you're ready to use synthesis tools or hit 100 calls/month, upgrade to Indie. No prorating headaches; Stripe handles it.
What if I exceed my monthly quota?
Requests after quota return 429 with an upgrade link. Counter resets on the 1st of each month UTC. Overage billing (€0.01/extra call) coming month 2–3.
Refund policy?
14-day discretionary refund on Indie + Pro: full refund if you've used less than 10% of your monthly quota, prorated otherwise. Email support@euregs.dev. See the Terms for the fine print.
